Using technology to enhance the patient-clinician relationship
The quality of the patient-clinician relationship sets the stage for the quality of that patient’s health. A poor relationship can leave patients frustrated and less informed about their health conditions. Patients who are less informed are less likely to experience positive outcomes, and when they don’t see improvements in their care, they may put off care completely. This, in turn, can lead to increased hospitalizations, readmissions, or visits to the emergency department.
